Yamaha YPT-200 is a Music Keyboard that transcends the piano. First you've a selection of 134 digitally-sampled voices to deliver authentic sounds of different instruments. Then there are 100 selectable accompaniment styles that make your one instrument sound like many. A built-in teaching device, the fifth version of Yamaha's Y.E.S. (Yamaha Education System), offers step-by-step instruction to help you become familiar with keyboard play and functions. There are even 102 built-in songs that are part of the Y.E.S. system that you can play along with - or just sit back and listen. A central Backlit LCD screen displays several control functions. Integrated speakers with Bass ports deliver outstanding sound through its built-in amplifier that delivers 2 Watts per Channel to 2 Stereo channels. Built-in reverb and Sustain effects (port for connecting an Optional Sustain pedal). Use your YPT-200 with your Computer using it MIDI in/out interfaces for Recording studio capabilities (when used with optional Software applications). It is powered with an optional Yamaha PA-3B AC Adapter or you can take the keyboard out with you almost anywhere when powered by 6 AA Batteries (not included). As an entry-level keyboard, the YPT-200 is really a fine musical instrument for an aspiring musician of any age.

This is a fine keyboard, and is suitable for practice. The sound quality is good, but I have to find an AC adapter for it. I do not understand why the manufacture did include it in the package. I have to pay additional $20 for the adapter and it wastes time to find it.

Great tool for learning to play the piano. The price was competitive and it has more options than we will ever use. The lack of an AC adapter is a bummer, but seems to be par for the course among competitors. Also, the adapter retails at $20 so don't forget to factor that into overall cost.

This keyboard is an excellent musical instrument to add some music to your home. I am surprised and pleased by the realistic and beautiful sound it produces. As a college student away from home, this keyboard serves as a great and affordable substitution for my piano at home. Even when I don't feel like playing the keyboard, I can listen to the pre-recorded songs, which sounds really good....

YPT - 200 provides so many features like kind of instruments that are simulated digitally along with tempo control. Although I have just started using the inbulti lessons but they are indeed helping me in learning the subtle skills. Its a good buy for the price it comes at

I bought this keyboard to learn how to play the piano and I really love the sound of the grand piano feature. There are a lot of instruments that I have not yet had the time to explore, but so far everything is good. The display, which shows the notes that you are using, is small so its kind of hard to see what you are actually pressing. Unfortunately there is no AC adapter or keyboard stand...

I would highly recommend this player for all kids and adults. It is very easy to learn and has many playing options to tune and is also portable to use in any surroundings.

Great Digital Keyboard for beginner!
Strengths: Prices, lightweight, and piano has excellent feature.
Weakness: No Power Adapter, Not touch-sensitive keys.
This is a great digital piano for the prices. I wasn't expecting much but this piano equipped with many feature. This keyboard plays so many songs and there are a couple ways to teach them to yourself. Only one drawback was this product doesn't came with the AC adapter and the piano key is not touch sensitive. Other than that, this is a great product.
