The sound concept of Schlagwerk's Six-tone Log Drum is based on an F-Pentatonic scale, and is capable of producing six pitches from c'-c". The exotic padouk wood playing surface ensures a soft and full sound for harmonious sound patterns, which can be produced in variable beat sequences. This log drum is considered a high tonal range instrument (soprano) and has a predominantly light, staccato sound. The padouk wood playing surface is finished beautifully. Additionally, the resonance box has a natural finish that lets the beauty of the wood show through, and attractively complements the darker finish of the playing surface.
