Perfect sound

Strengths: The sound is simply amazing.

Weakness: Hard to listen to them for a long time.

I have no concerns about sound quality, it is great in DVD, games, music. The only problem it that I still, after a year, can't listen to them for a long time without having my ears burning. They are made so tight (which produces great bass) that your ears are pressed to headphones really hard. When you turn the volume up, after a few hours you will feel really strong pain because of strong...

solid work horses with good sound

Strengths: sound quality, design

Weakness: swivel arm strength

I've had these headphones for a number of years now and overall I've been very satisfied with them. Lately they've cracked at a crucial joint which makes them nearly useless. As with others, I'm disappointed that they used breakable plastic on such a crucial joint, but they served me well while they lasted. can be turned up loud enough to function as mini speakers, nicely fold up into compact(er)...

Sony MDR-V700DJ Headphones

Strengths: Sound. The sound from these headphones is excellent, from music to movies to video games. For the sound that it produces 5 stars. Comfort. Easy to wear for a long time. 4 stars.

Weakness: Build quality. For the money that these headphones cost, they should be able to take more punishment than what they are actually capable of. 3 stars.

What can i say, these are headphones that almost make me cry. The sound is crisp and clean with the ability to handle power. I use my 'phones solely with my computer using a Sound Blaster Audigy sound card for music, movies, gaming and what not and i am just amazed as to how great they sound. WOW! Wearing them for an extended period of time is not bad at all. The only pain is the cord feels like...

Sony MDR-V700DJ Headphones

Strengths: Super sound, strength and purity of sound.

Weakness: None that I can find and I like to find stuff that is bad.

I bought these over a year ago. They have served me well. No problems whatsoever. The sound that comes from these is true and with power. I am able to tune out the wife and around here, that isn't easy to do! Thanks.

Sony MDR-V700DJ Headphones

Strengths: Incredible sound. Nothing quite like it (not even drugs get you this high!)

Weakness: A bit big, but you get used to that.

I'm no DJ, but I'm nuts about music. I help one of my friends record and compose trance, so I put my headphones to good use. I've probably heard just about every type of sound that can be made on a computer or keyboard. I've used your run-of-the-mill Sony street style headphones, Maxell HP-2000, and I've borrowed a pair of recording studio headphones for a day (I forget what make, not a known...

Sony MDR-V700DJ Headphones

Strengths: Very good bass, great feel, excellent sound

Weakness: none

Ive only had these for a few days, but man are they great. Excellent sound, superior bass - I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to experience their sound at great quality and high volumes. Some people are saying they are too heavy - that isn't true. I've had them on for hours and haven't felt uncomfortable at all. I am so happy I bought these - and etronics.com sent them very quickly...

Sony MDR-V700DJ Headphones

Strengths: Great sound, nice features all round. Swivel cup, long cord, foldable design, nice soundscape focused towards DJs.

Weakness: Heavy, the "leather" starts deteriorating after a while and the swivelhousing cracks.

Good for DJ use though they are a bit heavy. Your neck will curse you after a couple of ours of use. They do take quite a beating, but with time they start to show their age without a doubt. But after three years, you cant expect much, can you? The swivelhousing should not crack like that though, should be made with better materials.

Sony MDR-V700DJ Headphones

Strengths: compact and looks nice

Weakness: Total and complete crap. The cheap plastic that makes up the frame cracks in 6 different spots.

Total and complete crap. Sony has put a nice look on headphones but still found a way to make me want to hunt them down and beat. I use my USED the mdr-v700 all the time. i cared for them like a small child but still the cheap plastic joints broke. so if you plan on using these headphones dont buy these... they break.

Sony MDR-V700DJ Headphones

Strengths: the sound, you can feel it, its the power, its like a subwoofer to your ear

Weakness: none at all

i got mine from ecost.com and they said it was a 50mm drive unit but when i got it, it said 40mm, and they also said it was 3000 mw but guess what it was really 1000, can you see the difference, of coarse you can by 2000. you can play anything with this.

Sony MDR-V700DJ Headphones

Strengths: Great Sound and look

Weakness: Kinda heavy and hot

Probably the best reason to buy these, at least to me, is that after purchasing these You can say "I OWN THE SAME HEADPHONES AS SID WILSON OF SLIPKNOT!!!!" That was the main reason I bought them, but the quality and sound of them make me even happier. Good for DJ's, gamers and "music fanatics" such as myself. Purchase these, you'll have bragging rights.
